The Skilltree logic is now complete and ready for prototyping.
This includes:
• Unlocking abilities, both "active" and "passive"
• Unlocking new technologies and structures
• Unlocking new decorations and customization options
We refer to the individual unlockable items as "objects".
The mechanic functions like a board game where the player must explore the board to find keys that unlock new areas. Additionally, a certain number of points must be spent to open gates on the board and access the areas beyond.
Individual objects can also be leveled up and improved in context. This makes abilities stronger, last longer, or have shorter cooldowns.
The next step is to finalize the quest system.
This involves integrating the world map into the quest log context.
