After 6 months of intensive planning and working on the base game loop, the final step towards a completed base project has been taken. The Gameplay Ability System is now active, along with the character attributes. This means the project is essentially "playable" with a life-death loop.
What follows now is the actual development phase: expanding the foundational systems that have been created.
These are:
• Simple movement (Root Motion)
• Basic combat (GAS)
• Core UI elements (CommonUI)
• Coop connection (EOS - Redpoint)
• Inventory and equipment (GAS, CommonUI)
• World map
• Quest system
• Object interaction
• Attribute manager (GAS)
The next essential step is further developing the Root Motion movement.
The goal for the next milestone is to achieve smooth turning, jumping at action points, climbing, and crawling.
